Trio van Putten (formerly unknown as MPS) myspaces adress: http://www.myspace.com/triovanputten Being probably one the most danceble impro-fusion bands on the western hemisphere, Trio van Putten offers loads off rhythm, grooves and styles. Modern serial songstructures are mixed with traditional music forms from all over the world, giving a contemporary image of what's cool today, and adding lots of their own flavour to it. You wont quite often hear a band in a powertrio setup that actually plays techno music, followed bij some jazz, merengue,polka or reaggea and get actually away with it... but this trio does! Marq's drumplaying is in a class of its own: its doesnt rely on save pattern-weaving, but is completely freely buildup to his own desire, giving the band a free fundation and room to move. Stefan is the hardest working man in bassbusiness in Enschede, giving solid backing to loads of bands there, but he can build up walls of sounds on his own as well. In this trio he gets room to do this, and he knows how to use it.. Guitarplayer Paul tops the cake with a sort of creamy jazzy, funky, rocky, techno, bleugrass, latin, flamenco type of guitarplaying and occasional chanting along with the guitar. For Live samples and recording engineering, formentioned trio coöperate with Rob Lohues. Rob has made all the live recordings from 2003 till the present day. Extended Trio Van Putten Oldtime friend and keyboardist Niels Moseley has joined forces with the trio, as ultimate Groove Extension™ The first tryoutconcert took place in Enschede during Funky Friday: it was a good concert, even more powerfull and groovy than the Trio setup.
